In my early exploration of foils I was influenced by print makers, therefore I used lots of white space surrounding my pieces, true to the printmaking technique. This space always felt like an unnatural border conflicting with my natural expression, so I took great pleasure in pushing at it’s boundaries. Even now you will see irregular boarders in my work.

This is one of the early pieces of my collage work. Experimenting with textures and relief. I do continue to enjoy the use of white space in my pieces which lends itself to the feeling of color explosions on the page.
