This is one of 2 pieces created with heavy texture. I was growing tired of the thin layers of foil and it’s lack of body and depth so I made a short lived attempt to create something with more interest. Ultimately I abandoned this process due to the difficulty in applying foils into the crevasses. I was still in a period of discovery and I found this process unfulfilling. I do however, like this work and it’s sister piece Red Sphere. My love of the sun and the moon skies definitely appear in many more of my works.
